After more than 10 years of practice as project architect in an architectural and engineering firm, it was time to pursue an independent career in the field of my choice: conservation and restoration of architectural heritage.
For years built heritage evoked a personal fascination, but after obtaining a master’s degree in conservation at the University of Leuven, it became the focus of a new professional activity.
The past 4 years, a variety of projects in Belgium and abroad were dealt with, for clients in the private and public sector, for local owners as well as international organisations such as Unesco (United Nations organisation for education, science and culture).
The delivered services range from documentation, conservation and restoration, to conceptual design, technical design, management and training in documentation techniques.
